This page exists to test the AACE Thyroid Journey Guide, an AI video avatar
currently in development. It is not linked from the main site and is not
intended for patients or external audiences.
What you are looking at
The floating “Ask the Thyroid Guide” button in the bottom-right corner opens a conversational video avatar. It answers questions about thyroid disease using AACE guideline-based content. You can speak to it or type — it replies out loud, with the avatar lip-syncing to the response.
How to try it
- Click Ask the Thyroid Guide (bottom-right).
- Read and accept the medical disclaimer.
- Click Start Session and allow microphone access if prompted.
- Ask a thyroid-related question aloud, or type it in the message box.
- Click End when finished — sessions consume paid credits, so please close them.

If the microphone button is not shown, voice is temporarily unavailable and the guide is in text-only mode. Typing still works normally.
Known limitations
- Responses are AI-generated and may be incomplete or occasionally incorrect.
- The guide covers thyroid topics only and will redirect other questions.
- Conversations are not saved — closing the panel ends the session.
- The avatar’s voice is selected in configuration and may change during testing.
- Sessions draw on a paid credit balance; please end sessions when you finish.
Giving feedback
When reporting an issue, please include:
- What you asked (exact wording, if possible)
- What the guide did or said
- Whether you typed or spoke
- Your browser and whether you were on desktop or mobile
