AACE-CEC Renewal

Your recognition as a Certified Endocrine Coder (CEC) through the American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists (AACE) affords you the unique opportunity to lend your knowledge of basic and advanced coding to the advancement and advocacy of the endocrine field.

We remind you that in order to satisfy the certification renewal requirements, individuals must submit six (6) hours of continuing education (CMEs and/or CEUs) directly related to endocrine coding and/or compliance, along with a renewal fee of $75 on an annual basis. The form below allows payments to be submitted electronically to AACE. The due date of the renewal fee and proof of continuing education units is the last day of the month, of the subsequent year, that coincides with the month in which the test was given. For example, if you sat and passed the AACE-CEC exam on June 10, 2010, your renewal fee and CME/CEUs will need to be received by June 30, 2011. There will be a $25.00 charge per month applied for late renewals, not to exceed 90 days. If the renewal has lapsed past 90 days, the applicant must re-take the exam to regain the AACE-CEC certification.

A list of approved resources can be found in the AACE-CEC Renewal Guidelines.
