Rhoda H. Cobin, MD, FACE

Rhoda Cobin, M.D., FACE is a Past President of the American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists (AACE), President Elect of the American College of Endocrinology (ACE) and a Fellow of ACE. Dr. Cobin has been in private practice in Midland Park, New Jersey for 27 years. She is a Clinical Professor of Medicine at Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York City and is Co-Chief of Mount Sinai’s Thyroid/Endocrinology Clinic. She is an attending physician at Mount Sinai and at Valley, St. Joseph’s, Barnert, and Hackensack University Medical Center Hospitals in New Jersey.

She graduated from Mount Holyoke College in Massachusetts, attended the State University of New York Downstate Medical School and earned her medical degree with honors from the University of Puerto Rico School of Medicine. She served her internship and residency in medicine at the Beth Israel Hospital in New York City. Dr. Cobin completed her fellowship in endocrinology at Mount Sinai Hospital.

Dr. Cobin serves as Chair of the AACE Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome Public Awareness Initiative and the Public and Media Relations Committee. She serves on numerous AACE committees and task forces which developed diabetes management guidelines, the diabetes inpatient management position statement, and insulin resistance syndrome position statement. She is also a member of the American Medical Association (AMA) Physicians Consortium for Performance Improvement and the National Diabetes Quality Alliance.
