This saves time and money. Members should watch for the AACE Member Benefits Program symbol indicating the vendor has fulfilled all the criteria for AACE's endorsement and inclusion in the program. The Fundamentals of Endocrine Coding: The Fundamentals of Endocrine Coding course is designed as an introductory course for the physician, biller, or coder seeking to learn the basics of CPT®, ICD-9, and HCPCS coding. In this course you will not only learn how to use the ICD-9, CPT®, and HCPCS books, you will also gain an understanding of how to properly bill for commonly performed endocrine procedures.

Advanced Endocrine Coding: Practical Applications with Certified Endocrine Coder (CEC) Exam: This course is designed to further your coding knowledge, enabling you to prevent billing errors and maximize the reimbursement in your practice. You will learn the complete coding and claims processing cycle, from negotiating contracts, to setting fee schedules and processing appeals. This course is designed for the experienced endocrine coder and offers a certification exam at the completion of the course. Upon passing the examination, the credentials of "CEC" may be used following the examinees name to denote specialized knowledge and skill in endocrine coding.

Section 170 Plan: This unique plan, under Section 170 of the Internal Revenue Code, provides a tax- deductible income/savings program for physicians as a method for saving for retirement, college, disability or estate planning. The program allows physicians to use the American College of Endocrinology (ACE) 501C3 exempt status to gain a tax deductible and enhanced return annuity with income for life. The program may be utilized to diversify or supplement retirement plans without the expenses or market risks of traditional plans. The plan will guarantee you or your chosen second income beneficiary to receive an income for life funded through an annuity starting on the date chosen by you. At the time of your death, ACE will also receive an endowment in your name that will help provide future income to AACE for funding education and research programs for endocrinologists.
