College Convocation
Application for fellowship and acceptance as a Fellow of the American College of Endocrinology (ACE) culiminates in a solemn and significant induction ceremony, the ACE Convocation, during the American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists' Annual Meeting. Applicants accepted into fellowship are required to be AACE members, fulfill defined criteria and participate in the ACE Convocation.
Fellows are honored with induction into the College as recognition of their high standards of self-discipline and care given to their patients and profession. During the Convocation, each Fellow is individually introduced from the dais, and recieves a medallion, a certificate and a commemorative tie or scarf.
Besides public recognition of fellowship during the ceremony, the following awards are given: MACE (Master of American College of Endocrinology), Distinction in Clinical Endocrinology Award, Yank D. Coble, Jr., MD, Distinguished Service Award, and the International Clinician Award.
The ACE Convocation is a memorable event for the Fellows, family members, friends and colleagues.
