Call for Abstracts

August 2009

Dear Colleague:

Welcome to the 2009-2010 AACE Online Abstract Submission Program. The American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists (AACE) is pleased to invite you to participate in its 19th Annual Meeting & Clinical Congress Abstract Competition and Poster Presentation, on April 21-25, 2010 in Boston, Massachusetts. Please note that the primary author for each abstract must be an AACE member in good standing, prior to December 1, 2009. Endocrinologists, endocrine fellows-in-training, residents in internal medicine, surgery, or pediatrics, and medical students are eligible to apply for membership. You can apply online at http://www.aace.com/membership/invitation.php.

There is no charge for abstract submission.
Please note ONLY the primary authors who are fellows will receive the complimentary meeting registration.
Additional authors will have to pay the meeting registration fee even if the primary author does not attend the meeting.
The meeting registration fee for all residents and medical students is complimentary, regardless if they submit an abstract.
ONLY primary authors will be awarded travel grants and awards.

Abstract Competition Travel Grants:

Additional Poster Session Awards chosen at the Annual Meeting:

  • 3 Fellows-in-Training Young Investigator Awards, including a first place prize of $500, second place of $250, and third place of $100
  • 1 Resident Physician Award of $250 for Domestic residents

To qualify for the Domestic Travel Grants, the Fellow-in-Training or Resident must be enrolled in a fellowship program or residency within the United States.

Oral Presentations:

Six (6) to eight (8) abstracts authored by Fellows-in-Training or Residents will be selected for the Oral Presentation competition based on their scientific merit and interest. The Oral Presentations are scheduled for Friday, April 23, 2010. The details will be available online and will be sent by email to those chosen to present. The Oral Presentation competition is open to any fellow or resident, who is an AACE member in good standing, at the time of the presentation.

Oral Presentations Awards chosen at the Annual Meeting:

  • First prize of $500, second prize of $250, third prize of $100

All abstracts must be submitted by AACE members, before December 14, 2009, 11:59 EST.
